There is a surprising amount of nudity by 's film standards but in a way, it humanizes the story line. Magnificent costumes and filming locations in Romania provides you with a true feeling you are watching a worthwhile film depicting medieval Europe at the height of the Inquisition.
Rutger Hauer delivers another performance that lives up to his legacy as well as the other supporting cast members.
