Put them together and you have a time bomb waiting to happen. And it does as both are determined to take down a narcotics drug lord but their methods often conflict until they decide to work together instead of fighting each other.
Turns out both women are lonely and a bit pathetic in their own way, no matter their back ground, and both have more in common with each other than they realize or want to know.
Bullock and McCarthy were much better suited as partners than Bullock and her last partner in Miss Congeniality 2. Hopefully these two will do a follow up movie because they worked very well together with McCarthy as the comedy part of this team with Bullock as the Straight man.

The pursuit is long and the camera shows the victim's scared face several times. The whole thing is passed off as comedy but it is not funny.
It is upsetting to view. The street scene where the man is hit in the back and knocked down with a watermelon is so eerily similar to the murder of 18 year old Michael Brown in Ferguson MO in Hollywood has 'way too many images and scenes of violence against POC.

This is one hilarious comedic film. Melissa McCarthy is incessant and Sandra Bullock as the 'straight man' plays the role excellently.
The film has a 'cop buddy odd men' character focus. The storyline is knowingly a cliche, combining the same old pieces of cop films that you've seen before but picking out pieces of gold dust and running with them in an insanely incessant way.
I mean it just keeps on and on and on. It is oh so funny. I mean funny, really funny, honestly just so funny. Every home should have one.
