Charm and Comfort! My husband and I, and our 2 dogs, stayed here 9 days as a shelter in place alternative to our home in Dallas. We stayed in The Lone Star Suite: a spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment, with a fully equipped kitchen, furnished in rustic Texas style and a huge screen TV, fronted by a large balcony overlooking the historic downtown plaza of New Braunfels.

The property has key pads for all the doors and you are furnished with the codes before your arrival. There is a coffee shop adjacent to the front entrance, owned by the hotel, which provides a generous breakfast several full menu selections to choose from as part of the package.

While the cleaning fee in addition to the rate seemed a bit high, once I saw the unit size, kitchen, beds, etc. I understood the pricing.

There are some fairly steep stairs to contend with depending on the choice of unit. The Lone Stair Suite was on the second story of this three story building.

However, taking our dogs up and down the stairs for outside bathroom breaks did not deter from the comfort or charm of this selection.

I highly recommend this as a place to stay and we will be back to use it as often as we can! After eating our way through cinnamon rolls, pecan rolls and strudel, we were happy for the exercise of the stairs!

Quiet, beautiful patio with ceiling fans. This place was so much more than I expected comfort wise. I cant wait to come back. In fact, I didnt want to leave it!

This was our second visit and we loved that we could just park and walk so many places. And the cafe on the first floor is a huge bonus!

Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. We had a large unit with two bedrooms. It was perfect for our needs. The beds are so comfortable and the place just feels like home away from home.

Lots of towels provided in the bathrooms, and not the stiff ones you find at many hotels, but soft and fluffy. We will definitely be returning.

We were able to park in our assigned spot behind the hotel and walk to everything! The owners are friendly and helpful. And we loved having breakfast in the cafe on the bottom floor.
