Poor guy has the stigma of George of the Jungle and Blast from the Past both of which I loved but he was good in this and handsome; actually there's been quite a few films I really liked him in and this was one of them.
Funny and naturally sweet and a bit sneaky and you wonder how it's all going to turn out. The 'mix up' was a bit over the top, but I guess such things happen.
I liked it. Just watched last eve. See it a few times and enjoy it each time. The whole crew is great and Miquel Sandoval is hilarious. I've always liked Brendan Fraser, wish he still made movies, quite a talented guy and then there's Shirley Maclaine.
A sweet movie. Brendan Fraser plays a dual role as his brother Hugh and Bill. It's early in his film career but he shines brightly.
The movie has bright ideas even if it isn't refined with some language and situations. Ricki Lake is really funny and it would've been nice if they would make another film with her.

It reminds me of the Hollywood Golden Age era movies, with a gal in distress, a suave guy smart enough to fall in love with the gal, and a smart butler who saves the day with his wisdom.
The dialogue is predictable yet funny. Four amazing actors work together beautifully without trying to hog the limelight. Fraser and Maclaine play a classic 's Hollywood comic duo to perfection and keep the film rolling at a sprightly pace until its unexpected ending.
All in all an absolute delight even if Ricki Lake, a charismatic television personality in her own right, does not have the spectacular "superstar" comic flair of Fraser and Maclaine at their best.
I love this movie A lost young girl who made wrong choices get unexpected luck after facing a few horrible tragedies in life and was welcomed into a home of very sweet people who cares and cherishes her When I found it on Amazon it was at a price that I couldn't afford to miss and it arrived in excellent condition.
