I am pleased to report it seems authentic to me and was mailed fully wrapped brand new. It includes a DVD copy and blu ray copy which is exactly what I wanted.
No digital code included but that is not in listing, so I wasn't expecting it but want others to know in case that is a deal breaker for them.
I am very happy with my purchase for a movie I've wanted my kids to see for several years now! Thank you! Others have already covered the extras and everything else of concern with this release But I wanted to add a review to mention that the digital copy is NOT redeemable exclusively on iTunes as another review states and as the ambiguous box might suggest.
The box only has the iTunes logo on it but the way they're managing the digital redeem now allows you to do so on Google Play, Vudu, and Amazon too, as well as a new option called Movies Everywhere that links them all and adds it to all your respective accounts.
I even got 5 free movies as a promo for redeeming my code and linking two other services to Movies Everywhere, which is what Disney will be using going forward.
Hey, so the live action "The Lion King" movie has come calling. You know what this means? It means that I need to re-watch the old school classic animated film again!
Words cannot describe my love and excitement for this animated film! The film started off with the birth of King Mufasa's son, Simba and because of this, Simba will be next in line to be the king of the Pride Lands.
But unfortunately, Mufasa's evil brother Scar, wanted to be king himself and he starts making a plan on how to get rid of both Mufasa and Simba.
When Scar finally succeeds in taking down Mufasa, Simba ends up running away from the Pride Lands and ended up with a warthog and a meerkat named Timon and Pumbaa.
Now that Simba's past has caught up with him, Simba must take his rightful place on the throne and defeat his evil uncle Scar.
It has everything that you could ever hope for in an animated movie: drama, action, beautiful animation, amazing characters, brilliant character development and of course, MATURE THEMES like the death of a parent and the importance of being a ruler that is important for both parents and children to learn from.
Probably the best part about this movie were the characters and the music themselves as they were very well done.
All in all, if you want to see a true animated classic film, then "The Lion King" is definitely the one movie that you just got to watch!
It has everything that you could ever hope for in an animated film and it is one film that continues to be an all-time favorite of mine to this very day!
I was so happy to find this movie available as it is currently in the "Disney Vault" and not available for purchase in stores. I was slightly concerned that the UK import disk would not work in our Blu-ray player here in the United States.
However, after traveling to Europe last week and discovering that Blu-ray discs play differently than DVDs, the UK import Blu-ray will play in any disc despite the difference of regions.
We are so happy to own this Disney classic! I don't think that it's legit, but it does work in the US.
Obviously no online movie code included even though it says that there's one inside on the movie label , just the BluRay and DVD.
Quality is fine, but something seems off on it. So we all know the Lion King is an amazing movie no surprises there, and to be honest 4K and HDR does not do much for a animated movie from , however, the Dolby Atmos mix is what makes this release worth it.
The Lion King I then proceeded to to talk about how I could not wait to see spoiler alert the deathscene of Mufasa with the stampede to everyone's horrified surprise but I am an audiophile and I just could not wait see what I did there to hear the echoes of the stampede and roaring hoofs running over the ground with Scar's incredible voice by Jeremy Irons "LONG LIVE KING!

Ich war wirklich sehr skeptisch, da das Original zu meinen Lieblingen gehört. Die Neuverflimung ist wirklich gut gelungen und überzeugt besonders durch die sehr realistischen Animationen!
Allerdings muss ich einen Punkt abziehen, da mir die Lieder nicht gefallen haben. Ein wundervoller Film für die ganze Familie, nur zu empfehlen Hier ist Disney ein technisches Meisterwerk gelungen.
Die Tiere und die Natur sind so fantastisch animiert, dass man es kaum für möglich hält, dass der ganze Film im Computer entstanden ist.
Absolute Weiterempfehlung! Diese Realverfilmung ist toll umgesetzt und es ist beeindruckend, wie echt alles wirkt! Ich hatte echt das Gefühl eigentlich eine Tierdoku zu schauen!
