An entertaining, witty, dark animated film, full of quirky characters and very subtle social commentary. Yasser Medina. The plot and its destination - although pleasurable - are not as important as the intense degree of joy in getting there.
Jenny McCartney. Both joyous and melancholy, almost as if the old-fashioned and the new collided and shattered, and the pieces fell in place to create this incredible film.
Matthew Lucas. A shimmering, knowing homage to the beginnings of sound animation. Gerald Peary. The chaos in this picture all but reeks from the screen.
